TK attended CosmoProf in Las Vegas and it was HAIR-MAZING!4 August 2016
The 24th-26th July was an important weekend for beauty professionals to pin in their calendars, as CosmoProf arrived in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino.
Being the leading B2B beauty trade show in the world, it’s basically where the crème de la crème of the professional beauty industry gather once a year, sharing and spreading the love for the industry.
TK obviously had to attend and we were not disappointed!
CosmoProf is the ultimate event for brands looking for distribution partners as there are tons of worldwide manufacturers to private label with. However, the most important benefit of attending CosmoProf is possibly to get the low-down on the secret upcoming launches for 2016 and 2017.
But CosmoProf is not all just about business connecting opportunities. The biggest happening of CosmoProf was the prestigious NAHA event (North American Hairstyling Awards), which recognises the beauty industry’s most talented artists and advances the careers of stylists around the world. Since NAHA’s humble beginnings in 1989, it has brought this iconic photographic beauty competition to new heights year after year, and it’s now safe to say that it’s classed as the Hall of Fame for hair stylists – a very honourable award meaning the receiver is the best of the best in the category.
These three days of beauty and fun also included the PBA Beacon 2016 – the professional beauty association’s Beacon program. This renowned program is designed to encourage and inspire beauty industry students to prepare for successful careers by networking with the industry’s highest profile salon owners, professionals, and stylists.
CosmoProf also saw Cocre8’s Christopher Dove and John Simpson speaking at PBA Beacon, Balmain Hair Couture making their first US presence launching their wet line, brushes, extensions, and hair accessories, Framar International launching their all new Connect & Color bowls that were a huge hit, and student Megan Hertel from Hays Academy in Kansas taking home the Gold from Wella’s 2016 Trend Vision.
So what did TK make of their first CosmoProf?
Well, already having a wealth of experience in the hair and beauty industry with clients such as Great Lengths, Follea The House of Daniel Alain and Cloud9, we thought it a great opportunity to learn what each brand attending had to offer. As a creative agency, we’re keen to get involved with our clients’ industries, and it’s always a good opportunity to generate new leads and build our portfolio.
