To mark the launch of their Christmas calendar and to encourage customers to head to the store for their Christmas goodies, Molton Brown approached us to come up with an experience that would stop shoppers in their tracks. The result was the creation of a ‘Giant Advent Calendar of Surprises’ pop-up to tour the country. We conceived, designed and built the super-sized calendar, with indulgent surprises hidden behind every door.
Causing a buzz across nine different locations, including the Regent Street Christmas lights switch on, visitors who took part in the activation could unveil a gift, as well as getting the chance to win the Opulent Infusions Advent Calendar by sharing their snaps on social. Each location was positioned close to a Molton Brown shop so customers could also be encouraged in-store. The experience was eye-catching and impactful while helping Molton Brown collect as much customer data as possible.
The following year the calendar made a reappearance at Christmas in a new purple, sparkly skin to mark the launch of their luxurious new Muddled Plum Collection.
Creating an ‘Instagrammable’ buzz, over 22,000 new customer data sets were achieved and stores saw a boost of footfall. Customers lined up to get involved and the launch was so successful it was even covered on BBC News.
