The Alchemist appointed TK’s PR and Social team to manage media outreach and social content development for the launch of its newest molecular mixology bar in the heart of Leeds’ financial and business district.
Drawing on TK’s PR and Social Media team’s strong local contacts with press and creating opportunities for exclusive content, such as site visits and recipe sharing, we generated extensive coverage on a regional and national level to build buzz in the city prior to launch. Alongside tactical PR activity, the team ran a social treasure hunt competition aimed at Leeds’ business audience to drive interaction. TK also managed the launch night party, securing over 400 VIP guests and countless social mentions and reviews.
The strategic release of new site information and clever wording helped ensure a constant flow of coverage from July-November 2015 (pre-launch, launch and post-launch). The Alchemist exceeded its opening week target takings by £15,000!
